2023 Summer

HELLO ALL…

I can’t believe that it has been so long since I have published anything at all! I guess time just goes and before you know it, a year has passed!! It seems the older I get, the faster time flies.

However, I was encouraged this summer to keep things up to date on this blog. Most of the time, I feel I’m doing this for my own good…..to have something to look back on of memories, or encouragements from the Good Lord. This summer I met a person who had visited my blog, knew who I was, even though I had never met them. How cool was that! To think people really do read my blog, and I can be influence in the world hopefully for the good.

WE…

have been doing some traveling this year. As soon as the kids were out of school we made a trek across the southeastern states, visiting places I’ve had on my bucket list. I had my first experience of zip-lining and we saw many beautiful waterfalls and God’s amazing nature.

A FEW DAYS AFTER

we returned home, I had a visit from my daughter, Andria and my adorable, fast growing, grandchildren, Aria now 4 and Ava already 2. We visited museums, read books, and frolicked on the beach.

These PA girls didn’t know what to think of the beach!

BY THE END…

of July we were preparing for our 2nd road trip to Ohio to celebrate my dad turning 80, a Carmichael reunion, followed by Mt Tabor church campmeeting. Being in Ohio with all our family was such a blessing. Dad had all of his children there to celebrate. We had a blast ordering our parents around and taking them on fun adventures like they did for us when we were kids!

THE CAMPMEETING…

was such an inspiration and felt like a splash of heaven. I am amazed to think that there is a large body of people who are like minded, who serve God whole heartily, and all without sin. If you ever feel like it’s too hard to live for Jesus, to keep free from sin, just visit a good ole Church of God campmeeting, where you find people who are doing it, and doing it with victory in their life. It was uplifting to the soul to be a part of it!

Campmeeting Singing

So thankful that my grandchildren are learning to love and worship the Lord!

WE ARE NOW…

back to the grind, teaching piano, kids in school, and asking God to increase our notary business. What a wonderful summer we had and we feel blessed that God allowed us to enjoy these summer adventures! God is so good. All. The. Time.

At my Aunt Barb’s horse farm in Ohio where we stayed.
