A time to die

“A time to be born, and a time to die;…….a time to mourn, and a time to dance;” Ecclesiastes 3:2,4

This a a memorial to my two nephews, Isaac and Michael Grasser, who both died last week in a drowning accident.

Isaac Rock Grasser, I was blessed to know you for the 17 years you lived. You were a quiet determined boy with a sneaky smile. So smart and witty that sometimes I didn’t get your jokes! I surely didn’t get all those math equations you threw at me and did your best to make me understand.

I loved how patient you were at trying to explain why this worked that way and how if this would have been invented this way it would be so much more effective! Such a thinker you were! I’m thinking God must have needed you up in heaven to figure something particular out. I am so grateful that you were a boy that, though somewhat introverted, was not afraid to share the story of Jesus with anyone. You didn’t have to say much because you lived the Christian life. Thank you for being such a good example of how other young men should live. Thank you for your devotion to God, your obedience to your parents and your patience with mankind. I am so proud to be your crazy aunt and I shall never forget how much you’ve impacted this earth while you were here. I love you forever and always and look forward to seeing you again someday.

Michael happy Michael. Always smiling, full of life, bringing sunshine and laughter everywhere you went. I loved to watch you laugh because you did it so heartily. I can just imagine you being in the height of glory, skipping all around heaven because now you are able to ask a million questions to whomever you meet. Oh the pleasure to talk as much as you want and never sleep! This has got to be heaven right? I love you forever and always, Michael. May your rays of sunshine continue to warm those in heaven as they have here on this earth. I look forward to the day when I shall see you and your silly smile again.

Your Aunt Kendy

Someday, someday I know we will all find, as the scripture promises……a time to dance.

Articles relating to Michael’s and Isaac’s deaths last week.

Thanks for any support you can offer to my sister and her family.
