Idaho…one of my happy places

I’d love to go more often, and breathe the mountain air and feast my eyes on chickens, gardens, trees and lakes. I used to live like that, once upon a time….so the mountain air brings a familiarness into my bones that takes me back to a simpler, sweet time that brings a satisfaction to my heart. Not only is the mountain air refreshing, but I can also reminisce of the past and visit old friends, not to mention my sister that I left behind, when I made the move to Florida’s sunny beaches.

This time, I had more of a reason to visit. The Church of God in Idaho has hosted a camp they call Pinelow Fellowship meeting in nearby Washington state, for the last 4 years. It worked out this year to go at the time of the scheduled camp. Idaho is a long journey from Florida so it is not feasible to go every year. I thank God He made it possible to go this year.

The fellowship was amazing, visiting with those from different states, playing music with them, and attending praise and worship services and regular preaching services that made each of us grow a little taller spiritually. The encouragement and food for the soul is worth every penny we spend to make this journey.

Idaho requires bluegrass praise!
“I love the thrill that I feel when I get together with God’s wonderful people! “

We did spend 1 day hiking a new trail, visiting my fav eatery for huckleberry delights and shopping the little downtown of Sandpoint, Idaho. After the camp we took a day trip to Montana and hiked a trail amongst the hugest cedars and found yet another falls and swinging bridge. I love being outdoors. Seeing the beauty God has created makes it undeniable that He is alive and larger than all our problems!

I also got to visit my niece aMandalin and her little family. So thankful that God opened up a new home for them on property with the cutest house. The story of how God made this opportunity for them is so encouraging. God is so good when we trust in him for all our needs. He is a waymaker!

Our time in Idaho was just sweet….being close to memories, feeling the cool air, fellowship, worship, family, huckleberries, hikes and beauty all around….I thank God for these times…and my heart yearns to have more!
