Recently I listened to a message preached from a Church of God preacher in another state, talking of how Big our God really is. He had figured out all the math as if God could hold the world in his hand. How large of a person would God have to be, in comparison to us? We would all be as ants crawling up his big toe. We would have to crane our necks and still could not see the top of his head, for he would be thousands of miles tall! If we could take a look upward, we would be in awe of his greatness!!
How do you view God? Is He bigger than allllll your problems? Life gets us down, and throws us into impossible situations sometimes. We become self absorbed in our problem and at times things look hopeless. We wine and cry to God for help, but do we see our problem as small, like God does? Do we come with faith believing that nothing is too large for God?
Look up! Lift those eyes up to the hills, from whence cometh your help! Ps. 121:1. I remember when I hiked the magnificent Grand Canyon, constantly looking down, down at my feet so as not to fall. What a limited view I was getting by staring at my own two feet when there was all this beauty around me, just waiting for me to breathe in!! “Stop. Look up” I had to keep telling myself, or I might have missed God’s blessing!
We must do the same. Stop. Look up! Quit staring down. Down at our problem. Lift you head. Gaze at the awesomeness of God. Soak in how large He is and how small and insignificant your problems are. When compared to God everything’s small!
