Seven praises

Psalm 119:156, 164
[156] Great are thy tender mercies, O Lord : quicken me according to thy judgments……[164] Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

I was struck with the thought of 7 times praise. I usually praise the Lord throughout my days, but have never really counted the times. What if I made it a point to make sure it was at least 7 times? And then, look what David is praising Him for! Righteous judgements! Chastising from God. “Thank you Lord for this opportunity to be reprimanded by your Spirit.” Wow! Do we praise God for His judgements on our daily life? Do we listen for His voice, to His chiding, when we’re tempted to react wrongly throughout our day? And then praise God for His spirit guiding us? He only wants to make us more like Him. A better example to the world, a better husband or wife, a refined Christian. Great are His mercies towards us. Revive us with your judgements, oh Lord. May our lips praise you 7 times daily!
