When my middle daughter, Alicia was 2 years old, we were trying to break her of using her pacifier. I had limited her to only using it while she was laying down. After several weeks of the limited use, growing weary of having to lay down all the time, she finally got tired of not being able to have it when she wanted and promptly threw it down the toilet! Weeks later her Grammy asked her how she was doing without her “passy” and she blurted, “I’m ok Grammy cuz now I just pertend!!”
So that’s what we’re doing here in Florida…..just “pertending” it’s fall!
